First Generation OZET Pioneer
Scott Blumenthal is an actor and writer. Since moving to New York in 1996 he has performed in premiers of over a dozen new works, including the international tours of "1969 Terminal 1996", directed by Joseph Chaikin, and two OBIE Award-winners: Richard Foreman's "Pearls for Pigs", and The Talking Band's "Painted Snake in a Painted Chair". He is also the author of three plays, "The Master of Things", "Lion's Den", and "A Living History of Socialism and Revivalism Amongst The Harpist Community of Eminence, Indiana," and of "So Frightful an Event is Single in the History of Man", an adaptation of Frankenstein. Scott's latest project is OZET, ongoing collaboration with composer/musician Aaron Meicht that encompasses a variety of live performances, films, studio-produced song recordings, and experiments with new media. Each piece of the project draws on and expands the fictional history of the Collective Sphere OZET. Most recently, they performed their piece "Alberts I-V" at HERE in Soho. Their band, OZET Band, is currently recording its first album.<br>
