<p>Born on April 1, 1978, filmmaker Michael Angelo has had an obsession with film from a very early age, something he largely attributes to his grandmother, “(She) used to be very active in the local community theatre scene, and she maintained close relationships with all of those people for many, many years afterward, so being submersed in that environment when I was still at an impressionable age…had a huge impact.â€</p> <p>In 1996, the Houston native launched his own production company, Raging Dogs Productions. “It was a chance for my friends and me to create a sort of unified front for what we wanted to do more than anything else–tell stories.â€</p> <p>In the years since, he has had the opportunity to learn and grow as a filmmaker working alongside an eclectic pool of local talent. “Never take it for granted. I get real antsy in between projects. If I’m not working on a film, I’m thinking about the next one and getting back on set with everybody. The worst day on set is better that the best day in the ‘real world’ (except for my wedding day, of course).â€</p>
