Making a Difference in the Dark
<!--StartFragment--> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:windowtext;font-weight:normal;mso-bidi-font-weight: bold">Author, producer, playwright, Ken Bailey has produced television programs including the series <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Easy Growing</i>, and documentaries, <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Fraternity that Feeds the World</i>, <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Israel -20<sup>th</sup> Century Miracle</i>, <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Houston Remember When</i> for PBS and the award-winning <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Tango Nights for </i>US and Argentine television.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>He has worked with <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">48 Hours with Dan Rather</i> and on programs for Discovery Channel, History Channel and The Learning Channel.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Ken Bailey’s musical <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Manger in the Mall</i> has played to sold out houses around the country. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>His fifty plus one-acts and sketches have played audiences across the country. His radio show, <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">The Neon Fish</i> on KKHT in Houston featured interviews by and sketches written by Ken.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>And his novel, <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">I Flunked Sunday School</i>, was the inspiration for the independent film of the same name that he co-wrote with the film’s director Steve McCurdy.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>As Executive Producer of the film, Ken was honored when the film was named Best Feature at the <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Secret City Film Festival</i> in Tennessee in 2006.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Ken Bailey is married to actress Patty Tuel Bailey.
