Dahled Jeffries

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(84, 82, 82); font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; border-collapse: separate; "><strong>Dahled Jeffries</strong>&nbsp;is a Philadelphia born-and-raised writer and performer who loves Oakland as only a transplant can. His work has been published in several poetry anthologies and he's featured at venues from coast to coast including NY's Nuyorican Poet's Cafe and Da Poetry Lounge in LA. Dahled has lived in the Town for the last 10 years and in that time has become a pillar of the Poetry community in the Bay Area running <i>The Oakland Poetry Slam &amp; Open-Mic</i> since 2005 with his wife and partner Nazelah. In 2010 they welcomed a new show, <i>The Oakland COMEDY Slam &amp; Open-Mic</i> to the fold, and in 2011 they joined forces with folks behind several other local shows to bring Chicago's fabulous <i>Encyclopedia Show</i>&nbsp;to the Bay.
