I create stuff.
I have always wanted to make stuff that I didn't see being made, or at least that version of it. The way a child feels the need to yell what it wants, like "I want Cheerios, or you're stupid," I have a compulsion to tell stories that I want to hear, even if I'm the only listener. When I think something is funny, I have to write it down. When I think something is interesting, I immediately go to Wikipedia to learn more, as it is the rightful authority and I am lazy. <div><br></div><div>I technically started filmmaking in college at UCSD, not knowing I would ever use that video production course requirement for any sort of practical application later. A masters in broadcast journalism from USC combined with a lof of acting and comedy training later, I am certifiably crazy. Because I still want to be a filmmaker. </div><div><br></div><div>There is no form of entertainment older than storytelling and at the same time it's always in a state of reinvention. It can be a weapon. It can be a bore. And it can be a great stall tactic. But it doesn't seem to be going away. I feel lucky to be a part of community that will ensure it doesn't. The end.</div>
