Julie Pinto, a Toronto-based actor/producer, has been performing since the age of four when she took her first acting class with Le Theatre du P'tit Bonheur (now Le Theatre Francais de Toronto).   Since graduating from the joint Acting Programme of Sheridan College and The University of Toronto, her love of theatre has taken her across the country, working in both English and her native French, in theatre, improv, film and television.   Her stage credits include Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the award-winning Ulcers Before Adolescence, Chair Pigs and Dark City Streets.  As an improviser, Julie became a member of Bad Dog Theatre's Mainstage Cast less than a year after her first improv class, performing in critically acclaimed shows such as Harry Patter and the Improviser's Stone, Stars Warz and The Uh-O.C. with some of the country's best improvisers.  Julie is also a founding member of The Nearly World Famous Dufflebag Theatre's French Troupe and worked with them for 6 years, performing in over 500 shows annually.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Her film and television credits include Sky of An Archangel, Calvin's Dream, Comedy Night in Canada and Dark Rising: The Series.  Currently, she can be heard as the voice of Miss Carol in Treehouse's new animated children's show, My Big Big Friend.  <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Always seeking new challenges, Julie's life-long passion for animals and her love of the cinema spurred on her latest project:  a feature-length documentary she is producing to expose the savage abuse and neglect of Thailand's domesticated elephants.  This film will mark her directorial debut!<o:p></o:p>
