I am interested making work that tells a story by addressing relationships. I do this by often taking on topics influenced by pop culture, mythological stories, or personal observation. I strive for my work to be accessible and entertaining in an effort to reciprocally connect with the viewing audience by using theatrical tools, video, humor, and social dance forms.

In an effort to better connect with the audience, I am currently interested in exploring and making dance- and movement-based films where I can exploit and control the emotional content of the performance to invoke a visceral response. I feel like film is a better way to do this than stage performance by the camera’s ability to frame a moment, perceive time, invoke emotion, and mirror images. I also am interested in combining film projections and dance on stage where the film projection material is a part of the dance itself- dancers and film material interacting in peculiar ways to explore the human psyche and voyeuristic self-obsession that is provoked by the strive for technological and sociological perfection of our society.
