The strangest life I've ever lived.
<p>Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, Cinema (in one form or another) has always been an integral part of Mark Thimijan’s life for many years. His current production company, 600 Films, recently completed production on Barstool Cowboy, Thimijan’s first feature-length film. Mark Thimijan’s experience in moviemaking has taken him to Southern California where he worked as an assistant director on several feature films, gaining valuable experience. Returning to Nebraska to pursue his goal of creating more personal and creative independent films, Mark Thimijan’s third short film, The Girl Who Could Run 600 Miles Per Hour, was shot in 35mm film and screened at over 20 film festivals worldwide since its premiere in 2006. In addition, in 2007, Thimijan became one of the first Nebraska independent filmmakers to receive an Individual Artists’ Fellowship in the newly created visual arts category by the Nebraska Arts Council. He is currently in pre-production for his second feature length film.</p>
