I’m fascinated by life’s quirks, and I’m drawn to strong narratives and unique characters. I suppose my films often tackle evocative and provocative subjects, and always those with a unique take on life.

Over the last ten years I’ve produced and/or directed a variety of films for television, including MISSING YOU ALREADY & RAMSAY’S KITCHEN NIGHTMARES for C4, two episodes of HOLIDAY SHOWDOWN for ITV and a film for the first season of the acclaimed HIDDEN LIVES documentary strand, HAVING A BABY RUINED MY LIFE.

Throughout, I spent endless time developing new ideas, working at leading factual producers Diverse and Mentorn, and rising to Development Executive for Shine’s Features and Factual Formats department. With a desire to make films that actually make a difference I moved into the independent sector in 2009, as Head of Factual for Montambanco Productions.

In 2009, “THE GREAT DRAG RACE” was selected as a finalist for the Wellcome Trust Pitch at Sheffield Doc/Fest, and went on to win the £10k prize. This feature documentary tells the extraordinary story of 10 men with prostate cancer who aim to raise awareness in the most flamboyant way possible, by dressing as women. The feature documentary is now in post -production, and will be completed by late 2010.
