Mickel Cannon is a young filmmaker based in New York City

Mickel Cannon is a student at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) studying BFA Film. Since his attendance at SVA, he has produced, written, and directed multiple student films. He has a passion for producing films that involve the accurate depiction and representation of BIPOC across all mediums of film. He is currently producing three films for other students in addition to his own called “Stupid Cupid”. As a producer, Mickel strives to ensure that everyone’s voices are heard through film.
