Garen's entertainment roots stretch back 100 years to his opera singing Vaudevillian grandparents. For 3 decades he has managed, operated & revived theaters including the SomervIlle Theatre. He produces the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival and writes for such publications as Yankee Magazine. He has been heard on NPR as well as local TV. He has been on numerous non-profit boards & currently sits on the Filmmakers Collaborative & the Museum of Bad Art. His ex-wives don't like him, but his dog does.
