<div><br></div>I am an interdisciplinary social scientist with a background in the humanities, and a deep interest in social justice and global transformation. I have traveled and done research in several regions of Latin America, and have taught economics and social science on the university level for the past three years. My latest research project involves the impact of fair trade certification on coffee cooperatives in Peru.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>I am excited to be making my second foray into the world of technology and the Internet, as the staff economist and business developer / CFO of Cryptocracy LLC. My first such experience came as an online music reviewer and Web programmer for Listen.com (now part of RealNetworks) in 1999-2000.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>In addition to my educational credentials, I also have a deep and abiding love of music of all genres, and a background in jazz saxophone and composition.&nbsp;</div><div><div><br></div><div>The issue of bullying is near and dear to my heart. I look forward to having the ability to help children and youth protect themselves against those who would compromise their dignity and make their social world a treacherous place.&nbsp;</div></div><div><br></div>
