His most recent film, <em>Trapped</em>, which he directed and produced, won a 2010 Bronze Telly Award, an Accolade award of merit and screened at festivals including the Methodfest, California Independent Film Festival, and Park City Music Festival.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Garamond-Bold;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Garamond-Bold;"><strong>Takata was honored with a 2012 ICG Emerging Cinematographer Award for his work on the film Only Child. &nbsp;James earned his BA in Studio Art from the College of William and Mary and also studied at the Art Institute of Florence. James is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild Local 600, the Steadicam Guild, and the Steadicam Operators Association.</strong></span></p> <!--EndFragment-->
