Christian Axavier Lovehall is a Jamaican trans man from Philadelphia, and is known for his poetry, music, and activism. Also known as Wordz the poet emcee, Christian has dedicated his life to creating art for social change. As an artist, Christian has completed five original albums, available in stores and online, of conscious Hip-Hop and spoken word poetry, providing positive and uplifting messages for people of color not normally heard in mainstream media. In 2008, Christian was featured on "In Bed With Butch," a Philly based LGBT entertainment show that airs on Comcast, where he was interviewed about the pressures of being a queer artist. In 2011, Christian formed underRated, a Hip-Hop-Soul group whose aim is to put the art back into music, as it has become a product as opposed to a creative expression. Christian has also graced the cover of Original Plumbing Magazine, a trans male quarterly based out of San Fransciso, CA, and is featured in their 2011 calendar as well. In addition, Christian previusly has worked as editor of TMan Magazine, a premier online trans male magazine, whose aim is to increase trans male visability by educating audiences about the trans male experience. In 2011, Christian also founded the Philly Trans* March, and continues to live his life spreading a campaign of love.
