Elizabeth Chatelain has produced and directed numerous short films, including her graduate documentary, The Lost Girl, winner of the Ruth Landfield Award for Women Filmmakers and Official Selection at the Athena Film Festival in 2011. Her other short non-fiction films include Pelo Malo (Bad Hair) – Official selection at the Fargo Film Festival, The Admissions Game, and Beyond the Surface. Chatelain’s work profiles strong women struggling against emotional and social adversity. Her narrative short, Karin’s Shoes, was selected for the Reel Women’s Showcase at the SXSW Film Festival in 2011. She is currently completing her M.F.A. in Film and Video Production at the University of Texas, Austin.
