Born in London, 1968. <o:p></o:p> Now living in Bath, England. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Marc’s fine art work is based in the genre of documentary landscape photography. He shows us these landscapes, their raw nature and relationship to the human presence that is drawn towards them. The recognition of human intervention is key to the themes Marc explores and influences the final images, allowing the viewer to understand the vastness of the landscape, its natural power and the interaction of man within it. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> “All these landscapes (because one is dealing here with landscapes even if they are far from the usual cliches of green meadows) have a story in common - the story of their abandonment by man...What Marc Wilson allows us to see is their survival, revealing their intrinsic beauty”<o:p></o:p> Mouvement magazine, France.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Marc’s current project, The Last Stand, is being shot throughout the UK and Northern Europe and documents the physical legacy of war in the 20th century through the remaining defence structures situated around the coast of Britain and Western Europe. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Marc has exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions, both in the UK and in internationally in Milan, Grenoble and New York. <o:p></o:p> Exhibitions include the inaugural shows at the Back Hill and Now Showing galleries (London); Art 2001, Photo2005, The Photographers Gallery, The Association of Photographers gallery and at the Focal Point gallery, Southend. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Selected exhibitions: <o:p> </o:p> 2010   Landscape One, The Lucy Bell Gallery, Group show<o:p></o:p> 2008   The One Ton show, East End Arts club, London.
