I graduated in 1996 from Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I majored in Jazz Composition, and studied the bass. My taste in music goes everywhere from Talking Heads, to John Coltrane, to Fugazi, to Brian Eno, to Paul Hindemith. I still play, but these days I focus most of my creative energies on writing fiction. I recently completed a novel about the punk/hardcore scene around Cambridge in the late 1980's, which I'm currently shopping around.

After Berklee, I made a living for many years doing Macintosh tech support for companies including (but not limited to) Rolling Stone, Atlantic Records, Salon.com, Conde Nast Publishing, and ESPN.

I am the founder and CEO of StrangeAngels.com, an online dating site where people help each other.
