Working with people is one of my life's greatest joys - but greater still is helping them see and reach their potential. I believe the education and empowerment of young women are two vital components of international development. My goal is to become an active proponent in helping others realize and achieve their ultimate self-worth.

A recent graduate of Boston University, I hold my Bachelor's in Journalism and have worked extensively in honing my craft through a series of professional and university opportunities. Presently, I am pursuing graduate studies through the Harvard University Extension School with a concentration in International Relations. The current focus of my research centers around microcredit and the extent to which it can alleviate poverty and empower women in rural Tibet. Secondly, I am exploring South African educational policy and its systematic failures in helping children obtain equal and quality education. Further, I am a part of a sustainable development team that seeks to establish a women's empowerment center in Kyakatebe, Uganda to increase women and their families' livelihoods through sustainable agriculture techniques and financial autonomy.

I hope to see these projects expand well beyond my coursework into an eventual career in international development in South Asia or Sub-Saharan Africa.
