My name is Charles Turner and I’m a Jazz Vocalist, Composer & Band Leader based in NYC. I formed Charles Turner & Uptown Swing in 2018 and since then we’ve performed regularly at many NYC major jazz clubs such as Jazz at Lincoln Center - Dizzy’s Club, Birdland, Django, & Minton’s in Harlem. The band has headlined at major swing dance events like ILHC and The Frankie Manning 105th & 108th Birthday Celebration.Internationally we’ve performed at “Paris Jazz Roots” & “ Lindy Shock in Budapest.
