Maysoon Pachachi

London-based filmmaker of Iraqi origin

I'm a London-based filmmaker of Iraqi origin. I was educated in Iraq, U.S. and UK; studied Philosophy at University College London and then filmmaking at London Film School. For many years, I was a documentary and drama film editor in the UK and, since 1994, I've been an independent documentary film director making films in and about the Middle East. I've taught film directing and editing in Britain and Palestine and ran IFTVC -a free-of-charge film school in Baghdad for 10 years.
