Denise Nicholls

I am an artist and designer living in the Chinatown district of Victoria BC.

Many of my influences come from a deep-seated memory of a tropical beginning. Rich, bright colours and a desire to appreciate beauty in all its forms mold my life and my work. My paintings and jewellery come purely from the joy of the experience. They sometimes reflect an underwater theme: mysterious made up worlds of light and movement. Other times they are influenced by line and architecture. I work primarily in watercolour, but with a non-traditional approach.
