NEW MEXICO NATIVE AREN JAMES HOOPER MADE HIS CHOREOGRAPHIC AND PRODUCTION DEBUT DURING HIS STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO WITH “PHALANX”. IN THIS PRODUCTION, MR. HOOPER COMBINED THEATRICAL ELEMENTS WITH MODERN DANCE MOVEMENT AND FILM TO PROVIDE A UNIQUE SHOWCASE EXPERIENCE THAT WAS EXCEPTIONALLY WELL RECEIVED. WITH A BACKGROUND IN BOTH FILM AND CONCERT DANCE, MR. HOOPER CONTINUES TO MARRY THE TWO ART FORMS AND CREATE A NEW ARTIST-TO-VIEWER EXPERIENCE IN THE AGE OF TECHNOLOGY.
