Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

I was born in St Vincent and the Grenadines on the main land of St. Vincent. My family and I have lived all over the Caribbean, but for me home is SVG. All of this traveling exposed me to the multiple cultures throughout the Caribbean and help to develop my love of design, especially fashion.  With this knowledge I have achieved an Associate Degree in Fashion from the Barbados Community College and have apprenticed with top Caribbean designer, Claudia Pegus in Trinidad.  After this, I moved back home to SVG and started my small boutique style firm in a bedroom (and the living room) of my parents’ house. I have been able, out of my temporary location, been able to create a small DIY fashion brand and have shown in countries throughout the Caribbean and participated in Fashion Has No Borders in Toronto, Canada. I have also been a 2008 Caribbean Fashion Awards nominee and was awarded the Country Designer Award for St Vincent and the Grenadines at the 2009 Caribbean Fashion Awards. My work has been featured in magazines like SHE Caribbean, Panache JA, Sister@Sister, Island Where and on the cover of Shabeau Magazine
