A Filmmaker and Photographer in Los Angeles
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Alexander Drecun attended St. Thomas' Episcopal School, a private, parochial school, playing with the school's soccer team and performing with their World Champion bagpipe band. In 2004, he left Houston to attend Occidental College in Los Angeles where he majored in Art History and Visual Arts (Film Emphasis) and minored in English and Contemporary Literary Studies. As an ambitious film student, he directed several short film projects and acted on cinematographer on countless others. His thesis film, "The Hate," was selected for the short film competitions at both the Los Angeles United Film Festival and the FirstGlance Film Festival - Hollywood, winning "Best Editing in a Short" at the latter. Since graduating, he has worked as a freelance cinematographer and photographer and is currently at work on his portrait photography collection, "Kingdom Come."
