My name is Halima Lucas and I am currently a graduate student at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. I'm from Stockton, California and am second oldest of eight brothers and sisters. My heart for filmmaking comes from the desire to tell the stories of people left in the margins of society. My hope with every project is to foster a sense of understanding and empathy for the character and the perspective they represent. Giving voice to those misunderstood and voiceless communities is my life goal.
