A Modern DaVinci

Brilliant, talented, creative, and above all, modest.

I am an actor, director, fight choreographer, computer programmer, magazine publisher, and filmmaker whose hobbies include cooking, playing piano, trumpet, frisbee golf, woodworking, canoeing, white water rafting, camping, fine dining, board games, photography, comic books, and other stuff.

I started my theatrical/film career as an actor, and I took my first stage combat class in college simply because I wanted to be able to perform action scenes. I also developed my first taste for directing in college. After I graduated, when I worked on shows, it turned out I was the only person who knew what they were doing when it came to staging a fight scene. As I developed my understanding of fight choreography, I found I loved the process even more than acting. Ideally, I would like to spend 60% of my time choreographing fights, 30% of my time acting and 10% of my time directing.

I spent 20 years as a computer programmer while simultaneously working on theatre and film projects. I am changing my focus to earning a living doing what I love. The stage combat showcase project is my way of creating that living.
