Graduate student, inveterate tinkerer
I am a third year Bioengineering graduate student (now PhD candidate!) at UCSF. I combine microscopy and automation to design new high throughput screening technologies in whole organisms like zebrafish. In my free time I love to tinker, 3D print and laser cut all sorts of crazy creations. One of my favorite projects is the LegoScope - a microscope built from LEGO bricks and plastic lenses. We hope to use the LegoScope to make optics fun and accessible for all!
