Collect, share and preserve memories.....

My father was a DJ in the late 50s and had a great record collection for me to dig through as a kid. Dad joined the family's business of retail women's clothing shortly before I was born in 1961. When asked what business he was in, his standard reply was, "I'm in ladies pants". My mother managed antique shows and estate sales.
I've seen houses filled with priceless treasures and others cluttered with worthless junk.

While growing up, my parents would screen old 8mm silent comedies for my two brothers and I, along with the latest reel of home movies.

It's no surprise that I ended up collecting vintage film.
At thirteen, I used my Bar Mitzvah money to purchase my first 16mm movie projector. This was long before the days of VHS.
Much of the money I made from my various part-time jobs went to buying prints of my favorite vintage films.
I always had a few reels of cartoons or shorts in my school locker in case we'd get a substitute teacher without a gameplan. I spent much of my school years, in the back-row, running a projector.

Another love of mine is music.
I've always loved to sing and I performed all though my school years, ending up at the
St. Louis Conservatory of Music, studying under Edward Zambara and John Wustman.
I was the bass/baritone soloist at the National Cathedral for almost ten years.

In the 90s I started the first website for film collectors, "History in a Can"

2004 saw the opening of CineGraphic Studios, a unique and outspoken gift shop in historic downtown Frederick, MD.

By 2007, the digital-age had made it easy for me to combine my love of film with music, and to my astonishment, one of my first experiments, "Yiddish Hillbillies" ended up in the Museum of Jewish Art and History in Paris.

Imagery from my film collection and has been licensed and featured in films, concerts, television, greeting cards, postcards and posters.
