In high school, Marcus started writing movie reviews, and soon after he began his own horror movie review website, Kick Ass Horror Reviews. Acquiring a huge fan base and connections in the horror film industry, Kick Ass Horror Reviews also grabbed the attention of high brow production companies, such as Lions Gate Films, Tempe Video, Brain Damage Films and Anchor Bay Entertainment, all of which would send Marcus their films to review. Soon the movie studios took notice and also sent Marcus their films. These included 20th Century Fox, MGM, Paramount Pictures, New Line Cinema, Dreamworks Pictures and Sony Pictures. These connections won Marcus various awards and praise throughout the horror film industry. In 2005, Marcus traveled to Canada to work on House of the Dead directed by a Uwe Boll; and then to Pennsylvania in 2007 to work on Bereavement directed by Stevan Mena. Kick Ass Horror Reviews has been quoted on DVD covers, included in worldwide promotions for many horror films, and listed in Fangoria Magazine. In 2008, Marcus completed the one year filmmaking program at New York Film Academy. He now lives and works in New York. REenACTment will be his second collaboration with Nyle Cavazos Garcia, following Mary's Journal.
