A native New Yorker, Crystal Shaniece Roman graduated from the High School of Fashion Industries in 2000 and at age 17 she enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In 2005 she graduated from CSI where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management with a minor in Sociology. In 2008 Ms. Roman took a huge leap of faith and formed The Black Latina Movement LLC (BLM).
