Disposable diapers that watch your child's health

Jennie Rubinshteyn and Yaroslav Faybishenko started the Smart Diapers project in January 2012, during a five hour drive to New York City with two of their daughters in the back seat. As the drive turned into seven hours and then longer, and as the kids grew more unsettled, Jennie and Yaroslav recognized that there must be a way for them to create diapers that unobtrusively monitor children's health.
