Fred Eats A Pea is my biography. I've learned to love peas and am now a proud vegan. Join me as I tell you more in my book! I guarantee you a smile

My book "Fred Eats A Pea" is my true story. I used to hate peas! Not anymore! While I had no agenda in writing about my journey, it turns out that I have touched on many salient points that affect many people. Some of the topics range from elder care, visiting places such as farm sanctuaries, going vegan and, of course, learning to love peas and most vegetables. This is a children's book, but adults have been seen to smile and delight in the story as well.

Fred Eats A Pea is being sold at veganstore online (pangea) and it was the staff pick of the day by VegNews Magazine on December 5, 2011. It was also featured on Pittsburgh Live Today on December 15, 2011 (a local CBS affiliate). This is the second printing of the book and the campaign is to raise money to print more copies (I think it would be wonderful if there were a larger printing that would enable us to give copies to various libraries and schools, for instance. The author, Paula Weiner, is a noted artist whose works have been featured in such venues as the Andy Warhol Museum, Monmouth Museum, the Hoyt Institute for Fine Art as well as the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Her extensive CV can be viewed on the website for the International Sculpture Center (in New Jersey). The illustrator, Tiffany Whitfield is a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and has also shown her work extensively in the Pittsburgh region.

Fred has a facebook page (Fred CanineVegan) as well as a following on twitter (@fredk9vegan).

We all appreciate your help in getting Fred's word out there, and for helping people to discover the joys of fresh vegetables and Peas in particular.
