I grew up in the fervent city of Detroit Michigan, where my family was active in city government and in the arts. As a kid I would watch from the wings of the Detroit Music Hall plays that would one day travel across the country and eventually reach Broadway. It is no wonder that I am developing a theatrical production of the fervent politician from Harlem, Adam Clayton Powell Jr.
