<p>Mieka May has had an artistic drive from the very beginning. She grew up on tour following The Grateful Dead, traveling in her families re-vamped buses. Growing up in that mind set gave her a diverse outlook that has fueled her wild, spontaneous spirit. This has really instilled a creative force within her. She began with crafting clothing for Barbie dolls at the age of 5. That led up to Mieka making clothing for herself at the age of 10. At the age of 20 she began designing for the clothing company, Cameron Hawaii, alongside Mike Clegern. Designing clothing is not her only specialty. Mieka also has an eye for other designers work. She is a buyer for the shoppe in Laguna Beach, Cherry Moon. She is also a sales rep for Valou with her poduct, 3 Cap Ring. She was one of the first hands on deck alongside Spirit Hoods. You will always catch her collaborating with other artists to her liking. Mieka&rsquo;s most recent exploration has been in costuming for groups like, The Beckys and The MOOPsquad. Her style is an eclectic mixture of Beverly Hills couture, indigo child, Dead head with a touch of country girl. Integrating all of her experience and passion thus far. Mieka is going to bring to the world a vessel show casing a collection of work from various designers, artists and of course, herself.</p>
