Writer-Director Iain Laird (Born Iain Andrew William Laird) was born in London, Ontario, Canada and grew fascinated with filmmaking at the early age of ten. He would use his father's 8mm Sony video camera and gather all of his friends together to make movies whenever it was possible to do so. He grew up in the small prairie town of Okotoks in Southern Alberta, Canada.
