Since 2009, the AAI team has offered workshops in Dance, Drama and Music in Arusha, Tanzania each summer.</p> <p>Arts education encourages creative thinking while developing skills necessary for independent and collaborative work. Our arts workshops offer the opportunity for our students to conceptualize the learning process in a new way that stretches the limits of their personal risk-taking. Our programs strive to develop communication, problem solving and teamwork skills needed in everyday life.&nbsp;</p> <p><font><strong><em>Our mission is to empower our students through teaching the performing arts. We strive to use the arts as a vehicle to help our students understand their individuality, their power and their full potential. This empowerment will enable our students to initiate creative and positive change within their community.
