Zijian Yan

A filmmaker, artist, and musician based in New York.

​Zijian was born in Venezuela to Chinese parents and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He studied film scoring at New York University and film directing at Columbia University's Graduate Film Division. With a background in music composition, writing, and graphic novel illustration, Zijian combines these disparate art forms by telling stories through film.
