Paola Mero

I'm an Esmeraldas native and founder of Proyecto DESPERTAR. I am in my last year at Swarthmore College where I study Sociology with concentrations in Latin American Studies and Black Studies. My intention is to leverage the privilege that my education affords me to give back to my community and to my beautiful, resilient people. This project is a lifelong endeavour of myself and everyone involved, and it is through the generosity of individuals such as yourself that we are moving forward.
