Andrew Klaus

Primarily a writer-director Andrew Klaus is also a internationally exhibited visual artist having contributed to LIFEBOAT: Hamptons and the inaugural Scratching the Surface arts fair. He has in addition released two solo records as Souhado and now records with the Portland, Oregon based Francophile art band A is For Accident, who released their debut Selfish in 2009 to moderate success. Klaus has written for a various magazines, websites, and 'zines on gender and sexual politic issues as well as authored the graphic novel Godless (artwork by Klaus' husband illustrator Taylor Vineyard) in 2005. He has directed several short films including THIS HOUSE IS NOT A HOME, winner of the 2007 VISUALS Film Fest Audience Award and Lazarus (Official Selection BANG! Festival de Videoarte de Barcelona ;Barcelona Spain). He is currently in preproduction on his feature film debut and is a critic for The Feminist Review and maintains the culture and arts blog DIGGING TO CHINA Klaus runs Time-Out Films with animator and artist Justin Warner.
