I'm a senior at West Virginia State University, studying Sociology. I came across this story in November, 2012 and couldn't pretend I hadn't heard it. I became committed to bringing the story to life and was met with the resources to complete the project and a few obstacles as well, to teach me patience. I am a passionate human being who believes that if we all took the light that is in us all and shined it on to our corner of the world, no matter how small, the world would be brighter.
