Bio
Safiya Martinez is a writer, performer and educator. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from The New School University and an M.F.A. in Playwrighting from San Francisco State University. Her critically acclaimed solo show So You Can Hear Me has been performed at The Marsh Theater in San Francisco, ArtNow NY Gallery, at the BAADASS! Women's Theater Festival in the Bronx, The Nuyorican Poets Café-- and as part of the Stanford University’s LIVE SHORTS Program.
