If you make sure that your work is what you love, then you'll never get tired of working.

I've been an actor for over twenty years. I started to get a bit disillusioned with the kind of parts available to women, especially as they get older, so I set up Big Buddha Films six years ago and started to make films with a strong female voice.

I've made many shorts to date, many of which have screened at film festivals all over the world and won many awards and nominations. Peekaboo will be my final short film, and after this I plan to move onto features. I'm currently in early stage of writing my first feature film.

I live in Sheffield in the UK with my two teenage children, our cat Bob and two gerbils.

I'm very passionate about my work and and very proud of the fact I've managed to make so many good films without any funding. I have some very talented and creative friends and collaborators that have helped me so much and to whom I am very appreciative. I've found that if you ask politely, and treat them with respect, people will often be glad to help.

Film is my passion. I hope you will be able to support my project.
Thanks.
