James Adolphus is known for making cinematic motion picture films about social, cultural and political issues of global relevance.
Adolphus is a cinematography alumnus from the American Film Institute Conservatory and winner of the institutes prestigious Fisher Fellow Award. Adolphus lensed Sundance Channel's provocative documentary series BRICK CITY, winner of a 2010 Peabody Award and more recently he photographed SECOND COMING for BET, winner of the 2013 Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism. He’s currently shooting on CHICAGOLAND for executive producer Robert Redford.
