Let the beauty we love be what we do - there are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground.

"Congratulations to meet you", I am Adrienne, Dri, La Frenchie!

Strange yet (I like to believe) appealing mixture of actor, writer, singer, artistic busy bee, soon-to-be director, creative collaborator on many projects, English Literature major and holistic massage therapist; a native of France but living in Scotland after studious years in Canada (TooBa Physical Theatre Centre, Classical Voice program at Vancouver Community College, National Theatre School of Canada graduate - Acting program); my accent has been described as "posh English/Scottish/Canadian/New Zealand(?) but never as French (unless begged); my favourite roles have included Margaret in Henry VI (oh but I do love a bit of Shakespeare!), Masha in Three Sisters (and Chekhov!); Ma Bailey and Violet Bick in It's a Wonderful Life (and Capra!) ; this year I have played (so far) a Scottish Highland wife, an English prostitute and a bar of 70% chocolate called Black Velvet; if you find yourself in a French supermarket in the toy section, the Fisher Price Clock tells the time with my voice; I am the proud founder of the Actors Kitchen Edinburgh which counts many fabulously talented professional actors of all nationalities; I am a big fan of The West Wing, Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, and The Big Bang Theory, as well as Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Anne of Green Gables; one of my favourite cinema moments is the overture of Bergman's Magic Flute (which also happens to be my favourite opera) and the Star Wars Death Star chase at the end of Episode (1? 3? No, 4!); I love music in general in all its forms except R&B and "soup pop"; I hate the X Factor, but quite like Strictly Come Dancing; and my ideal professional life would include a happy mix of creating/directing/acting/writing high-quality, magical theatre/stories/shows whilst playing the role of an alien telepath on an intelligent sci-fi series- squeezing in the occasional period drama and restorative massage session between dance and piano classes. Last but not least, I bake a wicked banana loaf. (It's Nigella Lawson's, but no one needs to know)
