After 4 years at California Institute of the Arts for acting, Ezell started his television and film career, booking guest roles on major networks. Fascinated with the scope and complexity of directing, Shahine cemented personal connections with every director he encountered in the professional environment. One of these relationships would lead to his first opportunity as an Assistant Director, with Jess Manafort, on the short film “A Shore Thing”.
