Alan Salisbury

McLean, Virginia, United States

Alan is the Chairman & CEO of the Code of Support Foundation. The foundation was established in 2010 to bridge the gap between the American people and our men and women in uniform. It's founding premise is that all Americans need to contribute to keeping America stronag and free.  Our service men and women, less than 1%, carry a disproportionate burden of defending our country.  They pledge in their Code of Conduct that they are prepared to give their lives in our defense.  The rest of us (the other 99%) need to get involved in actively supporting our troops, our military families and our veterans.  The Critical Issues RoundTable, chaired by Alan, codified the responsibilities of all Americans in support of our troops by creating a Code of Support, six simple promises that Americans can make to our men and women in uniform in return for their profound commitment to service and sacrifice on our behalf.  After his own career of nearly 30 years in uniform, Alan is dedicated to bringing the nation together, bridging the gap that our all-voluntary military has created and ensuring that every American does their part in keeping us strong and free.
