Aric Coppola was born April 23, 1979 in Bellflower, California. Aric attended high school in Vancouver, Washington where he first began to experiment with film-making on a small VHS camcorder. After high school he attended Fresno State University for one year before transferring to the University of Southern California. In 2003 Aric graduated from USC with a BA in Political Science. Aric then enlisted in the Army. In 2006 he deployed to Iraq and Kuwait. While in the military he completed an MBA. Upon separation Aric and his wife Allison moved to Charlottesville, Virginia. Here he worked as a photographer and graphic designer. Late in 2009 he was admitted to a graduate film program in Los Angeles where he currently resides and is an MFA candidate at the New York Film Academy. He is now developing his final thesis project and slated to begin principal photography in mid-2012.
