<div class="modal_dialog_body"> <div id="profile-bio-full"> <p>Composer Juan Pablo Contreras’ music has been described as “a baguette wrapped inside a flour tortilla” for his French-influenced style with a distinctive Mexican flavor. His works have been performed at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, the Academy of Music of Kraków, the Mexican Cultural Institute in Paris, Foro Internacional de Música in Mexico City, the American Hall in Belgrade, and the Roy O. Disney Music Hall in California. Contreras received his BFA in composition from the California Institute of the Arts and is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in composition at the Manhattan School of Music. His principal teachers have included Nils Vigeland, Daniel Catán, and Michael Pisaro.</p> </div> </div>
