Tenor and Collaborative Artist
<p>A native of Jerusalem, Israel, Joshua Rona studied piano in his youth and began professional study of music in 2002 at the ‘Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music’ near Tel-Aviv. At Rimon, he majored in Voice Performance and Sound Engineering. He has performed with noted Israeli artists Gali Atari, Gidi Gov, for songwriter Yael German, and was a finalist in the annual ‘SHIRIMON’ competition.</p> <p>In January 2007 Joshua began his studies at ‘Berklee College of Music’ in Boston, Ma. There he has fronted and musically directed several shows, including most recently, a senior performance in the David Friend Recital Hall. Joshua featured in the pop/rock 2009 showcase at the Berklee Performance Center. He has also more recently featured as a principal character in Berklee’s first theater production of the musical ‘Parade’, also at the Berklee Performance Center. He is a recipient of the performance division’s ‘Solo and Ensemble Award’ Scholarship, and completed the Berklee Voice department’s comprehensive Bachelor of Music program in Performance in 2009.</p>
