Always honest, not always pretty

Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF) Founder and Executive Director, Leslie Ann Coles established The Female Eye in 2001 as a not for profit organization. Leslie Ann was first inspired to create the event while touring festivals with her own debut film, "In The Refrigerator", which screened at more than 35 international film festivals and garnered multiple awards for Best Debut Filmmaker, Best Short Film, Best Avant-garde, Best Picture, and the Bare Bones Grand Jury Award for Filmmaker In An Acting Role. During these journeys Leslie Ann observed that female directors were a minority among the filmmakers attending these events. Moved by the quality of films coming from these passionate and courageous women, Coles curated and hosted the inaugural Female Eye Film Festival and continues to dedicate herself to The Female Eye and to her own work as a filmmaker/actress.
